In an "epilogue" an author will usually provide some additional details to a story that will either tie-up loose ends in the plot or give the reader a preview of what to expect in the next stage of the story. In John's Gospel, John gives us an epilogue, and in this epilogue, he takes the opportunity to clarify some questions his readers may have about what to expect moving forward in the mission Christ is sending His disciples on. Ryan explains in a message from John 21:1-25 entitled "The After-Word."
