The Power of the Cross (Part 1)

A point that John likes to make repeatedly throughout his Gospel is that Jesus does everything in His own time. Nothing is ever forced upon Him. He does precisely what He wants to when He wants to - and at the time that has already been appointed for Him by His Father. This is what makes it a such a curious thing, that when a delegation of Greeks sought Jesus on the Sunday before His crucifixion, Jesus responded by saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified." (John 12:23) What is it about this event that signals to Jesus that the time has come for Him to die - and why is that significant for us today? Ryan explains in part one of a message from John 12:12-50 entitled “The Power of the Cross.”
