Hiding in Plain Sight: Understanding the Kingdom Parables
There is widespread fascination with the kingdom of God, and for good reason. The kingdom of God describes, perhaps better than any other subject, what the Christian believes about the course of human history and the fate of every man and woman. It even describes what we believe about God’s purposes in the gospel. In Matthew 13, Jesus begins to teach about the kingdom of God, even going so far as to reveal secrets about the kingdom which had not yet been fully understood. The only problem is that when He taught these truths He taught them in the form of parables. Why would Jesus choose to teach these kingdom truths in this form? Ryan explains in the following message from Matthew 13:1-23 entitled “Hiding in Plain Sight: Understanding the Kingdom Parables.”
