This Week @ Cornerstone: August 2, 2021

Cornerstone Family,

Here’s what’s going on this week at Cornerstone.

Metanoia. The first Metanoia meeting of the year is this Wednesday @ 6:30 PM. If you’re not sure what Metanoia is, you can basically think of our children’s curriculum in two-parts. In part-one, we try to provide the children with a systematic overview of the Scriptures. That’s our Generations of Grace program on Sunday morning. It takes the kids from Genesis-Revelation over the course of three years. In part-two, we try to provide the children with systematic theological instruction, which we do through the New City Catechism Metanoia. It’s a program heavily geared towards memorization (they memorize key information about the books of the Bible, as well as a few historical hymns, etc.), and the hope is to provide our kids with a solid foundation of Biblical “data” to build on as they grow into their spiritually “analytical” years. If you’d like to join Metanoia, but you’re not sure how, just contact Emily or I. We have a Zoom option available, as well, for those who can’t attend in person. (See the end of this email for the Zoom link.)

Ladies’ Tea. The annual ladies’ tea will take place this Saturday, August 7 at the Joki’s. This is our “kick-off” event for our monthly women’s study. This year the ladies will be reading The Attributes of God by Arthur Pink. Books will be available for purchase at the tea for $10.

Corporate Fellowship. Our next corporate fellowship is this Sunday. If you’d like to sign-up to bring something, you can do so here.

Have a great week!

In Christ,

Ryan Joki
