Baptism is a declaration of many things, but if all the things it represents were distilled into one, simple concept, then it may said that baptism is a symbolic declaration of a new believer’s identification with Christ. At baptism, a person declares that they have become a disciple of Jesus Christ and now identify completely with Him. What does this identification look like as it is played out in the life of the believer? Ryan will explain this Sunday in a message from Matthew 16:24-26 entitled, “The Cost of Discipleship.”
